Lead Maintenance Support
in Fremont, California (CA)Lead Maintenance Support will be responsible for overseeing a team of technicians and reports directly to the Supervisor on all ongoing projects. As a Lead, the team member’s responsibilities will be focused on leading maintenance support teams for all manufacturing lines across Fremont Plant & Giga Factory Taxes (remote support) in implementation of Maintenance Operating System (FLUX). This team member will be required to work with cross-functional teams (Maintenance Support, Engineering Team, Spares Team and FLUX Development Team) to ensure implementation projects for each shop is on track with planned project deadlines to support vehicle manufacturing.

As a Lead, the team member’s responsibilities will be focused on leading maintenance support teams for all manufacturing lines across Fremont Plant & Giga Factory Taxes (remote support) in implementation of Maintenance Operating System (FLUX). This team member will be required to work with cross-functional teams (Maintenance Support, Engineering Team, Spares Team and FLUX Development Team) to ensure implementation projects for each shop is on track with planned project deadlines to support vehicle manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure Critical Line Side spares are replenished at all designated areas for all production line’s on daily basis.
- Process Critical Spares Parts and work closely with spares planner’s & buyer’s before implementing in Maintenance Operating System (FLUX).
- Ensure standard operating procedures for Lineside spares are being followed across Fremont factory.
- Coordinate with Tesla approved vendors & manufactures on procuring quotes for critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Engineering team in Implementation or Bill of Material in FLUX.
- Prepare various spares analyses reports including consumption, forecasting, risk analysis and cost savings from processed RMAs.
- Compile and manage spares data for equipment maintenance technicians and/or engineers, as per the required specifications, and onboarding them into FLUX with material planners support.
- Ensure maintenance support team is delivering spares & equipment between various locations within the Fremont plant as required by Maintenance & Engineering Team’s (EMT’s).
- Request site-to-site transfer for spare parts on dire needs to mitigate any downtimes.
- Assist in setting up Preventive Maintenance schedules (PMs), Work Orders (WOs), tracking completion and currently open Work Order dispatches.
- Supporting the equipment maintenance team’s in preparing a binder documenting proper procedures for completing the checklist..
- Analyze Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMs) data on daily basis and report to maintenance manager and FLUX development team in case of any anomalies.
- Prepare & Verify periodic/scheduled spares and PMs/WOs reports to the management with constructive feedback.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience in Inventory, Stocking and RMA process experience.
- Understanding of spares inventory management systems.
- Ability to learn Tesla internal tools and systems.
- Intermediate level expertise on MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint), MYSQL is a plus.
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused.
- Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management.
- Passionate and high energy, with the diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to positively influence others, both inside and outside of Tesla.
- Able to present scheduled reports to higher management with high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to analyze data and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive duties while standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 30-50lbs.
- Forklift Certification is a plus
