As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into IBM clients’ business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Salesforce Consultant you will:

  • Effectively collaborate with other consultants, developers, project team, and client resources to determine functional and non-functional requirements
  • Collaborate with and lead colleagues through design thinking to bring the customer to the heart of development and deliver a great user experience
  • Successfully build and nurture long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate frequently with team members to design appropriate solutions and execute projects in a timely manner
  • Leading and facilitating client workshops around highly complex solutions while maintaining effective engagement throughout
  • Uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and SFDC experience to lead business and functional discussions with both the client and internal teams (during design, build, test)
  • Configure the clients’ Salesforce platform including the structure and functionality, with the ability to troubleshoot bugs and perform deployments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style by the audience
  • Highly proficient in all aspects of configuration, including but not limited to workflows, dashboards, validation rules, custom objects, page layouts, creating reports
  • Engage with the client and their subject matter experts to understand key pain points and leverage Salesforce offerings to create future proof solutions that address these

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years Salesforce experience
  • Salesforce Certified 3x minimum (Ideally: System Administrator, Sales, and Service)
  • 3+ years Consultancy experience
  • Agile or Scrum project lifecycles
  • Experience in gathering user requirements and user stories
  • Ability to demonstrate experience and understanding of overall SFDC architecture and platform
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Running and leading small teams of consultants on projects
  • Process mapping
  • Familiar with writing and executing system and user acceptance testing
  • Familiar with user adoption, change management, and training methods
  • Business user design workshops and user experience facilitation
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce DX or Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, and configurations
  • Knowledge of agile/scrum project practices
  • Jira or MS Azure experience
