Overview

  • Provide advanced functional application and business expertise to support end users by coaching and mentoring users on best practices and business processes for all modules except Financial Aid and Student Financials.
  • Provide incident and problem resolution to support end users by analyzing and troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, creating knowledge base articles, and documenting service desk requests.
  • Utilize Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle PeopleSoft Query Manager, and PeopleSoft Application Designer to extract, review, interpret, synthesize, and report information from Campus Solutions processes, pages, and database tables.
  • Create and maintain application support documentation including functional and business requirements, configuration guides, business process workflows, and training materials.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the IT Division to evaluate, test, and deploy application releases and patches including updating related documentation and training materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service while upholding SBCTC guidelines and policies.
  • Analyze, review, and complete end user configuration requests.
  • Work collaboratively with Information Technology Division’s Training and Customer Support staff to develop communications and training materials to support end user readiness.  
  • Develop and lead functionality walkthroughs, training sessions, and group discussions for various stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement.
  • Act as Senior Functional Analyst to guide others in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementing new system functionality or enhancements.
  • Perform functional analysis, configuration, and testing.
  • Successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. 
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across SBCTC, including other divisions and IT support teams from all pillars/modules (student finance, financial aid, human capital management and finance) on cross-functional and cross-departmental projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT Division and vendor partners for third-party integrated applications and coordinate system and application changes.  
  • Perform functional analysis, configuration and testing for third-party application issues, updates, or enhancements.   
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in business or related field. 
OR
  • Two or more years of relevant functional or business work experience with large enterprise systems.  
AND
  • Two years of experience writing queries in Oracle SQL Developer or Oracle PeopleSoft Query Manager using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions records/tables.
  • Three years in the information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development and implementation of business application solutions, or IT project management.
  • Three years of experience adding and/or updating Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions configurations in Set Up SACR, Set Up Common Objects, and Enterprise Components for a minimum of three modules from the list below:
    1. Campus Community
    2. Student Admissions
    3. Records and Enrollment
    4. Curriculum Management
    5. Academic Advisement
  • Five years of Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience in a Higher Education setting supporting end users on functionality and business processes for a minimum of three modules from the list below:
    1. Campus Community
    2. Student Admissions
    3. Records and Enrollment
    4. Curriculum Management
    5. Academic Advisement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and presentation skills.
