Overview

Some of what you'll be doing:

  • Communicate expectations to direct reports and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Gather data and prepare agency facility 6-year planning and reporting.
  • Oversee vendors providing maintenance and repair of facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing.  
  • Manage vendor relationships for facility services.
  • Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Develop space design criteria; develop alternatives for proposed projects; gather project scoping and needs criteria from staff and management.
  • Review development/construction proposals from architects and vendors for compliance with project specifications. Estimate material and time necessary to accomplish projects and coordinate ordering of unique project materials.
  • Manage agency employee security access through issuance and deactivation of access cards, parking tags, and hard keys. Maintain accurate employee access records and audit monthly reports.  
  • Provide Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program policy and informational updates and participate in CTR promotional events to increase agency participation.  
  • Maintain agency parking lot wait lists and coordinate parking lot and reserved stall placement approvals. 
  • Evaluate and resolve employee complaints by identifying issues, researching, and recommending solutions for optimal outcomes. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Three years of experience planning, scheduling, or coordinating facility maintenance and construction projects. This includes experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Reviewing construction proposals for compliance with project specifications.
    • Developing space design criteria.
    • Documenting processes and procedures for facilities.
    • Conducting inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
    • Contract/Vendor processes.
    • Managing project lifecycle.
  • One year of supervising or leading a team.   
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage ever-changing tasks while still meeting key deadlines.
Preferred/Desired Experience:
  • Reviewing construction proposals for compliance with project specifications. 
  • Developing space design criteria.
  • Documenting processes and procedures for facilities.
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Contract/Vendor processes.
  • Managing project lifecycle.
