Job Description:

We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our team at MHQ, our global headquarters in Chicago, IL. In this role, you would be working with the team from conception through completion as we want our guests and visitors to receive the highest level of event production.

You will work side by side with the Workplace Solutions Center team and the Conference Center staff to execute events taking place in the Conference Center and other event spaces at MHQ. You will also be responsible for working with our event planners, vendors, and other staff to ensure that all events run smoothly.

This is an on-site role (Monday - Friday) with flexible/rotating schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with our event planners to understand requirements for each event.
  • Greeting event hosts on the day of the event to ensure layout and set-up is appropriate.
  • Working with catering and A/V vendors.
  • Greeting and directing guests.
  • Reallocating space, as needed.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise in connection with the Conference Center or an event.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a conference center, hotel, F&B
  • Experience with catering and hospitality is highly preferred
  • Ability to stand/walk for a significant portion of the day
  • Excellent communication skills
