This position serves as a Communications Representative for the Unemployment Insurance Agency acting as the Agency’s representative for day-to-day communication activities. This position has responsibility for working with UIA leadership to ensure effective communication, advise on general strategy, write and create media releases, maintain website and intranet content and design, develop PowerPoint presentations and other marketing and outreach collateral. The position will also serve on special projects at the discretion of the Communications Manager and Agency Leadership.

Required Education and Experience

Possession of a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, broadcasting, telecommunications, advertising, communication arts, public relations or a related field.

One year of professional experience in preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials equivalent to a Communications Representative 9.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with two years of professional experience in preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials may be substituted for the education requirement.
