DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administration and Management Trainee, you will be investigating grievances and disciplinary cases, following up with recommendations and responses. Your work will include interpreting and applying rules, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements. You will have the opportunity to conduct fact-finding interviews and prepare reports to summarize findings. Communicating effectively orally and in writing and maintaining effective working relationships will be key. You will be working with various computer applications for correspondence, communication, research, and reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  •  A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
