Nevada County Community Development Agency is seeking an experienced Administrative Analyst II to focus on recreation and climate related programs and projects in addition to other assignments. This is the journey-level classification within the Administrative Analyst series. Individuals, with little direct supervision, provide technical assistance with fiscal, program, and policy issues. Furthermore, individuals are expected to be knowledgeable in and be able to perform the full range of analytical duties in the office as required.

Major duties include:
  • Manage Recreation and/or other budget and a broad array of programs and funding sources.
  • Prepare and present reports, resolutions, and ordinances 
  • Prepare requests for proposals, contracts, and agreements
  • Serve as an internal management investigator, researching and analyzing facts and preparing recommendations for assigned projects
  • Review and analyze government operations and recommend changes
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, answers questions from the public
  • Facilitate public meetings
An Administrative Analyst II is an integral part of the County’s team whose mission is to assist higher-level management on County priorities including grant management, contract administration and monitoring, fiscal oversight, special projects, and studies!  If you have skills in communicating tactfully and effectively with County staff, elected officials, and members of the public, that's a plus!

Education and Experience Required

Level I:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, economics or a related field from an accredited college or university, and one year of experience in administrative, budget or personnel analysis, preferably in a public agency. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.

Level II: (in addition to the above)

Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Nevada County's classification of Administrative Analyst I.
